Round shape, butter color flesh with small black seeds. |
What I love about Suika is the thin rind. Cutting Suika is so easy, it literally cracked open by itself when I gently ran the knife through. It tastes fruity and clean. The brix index of Suika is 8.5, (Crimson is 9.9), which means it is not a super sweet type watermelon. I actually am a big fan of the delicate flavor. It contains less sugar, it won't make you thirsty after eating it. |
6.15.2015 Second batch! |
Almost 9 pounds! With the rind weights around 2 pounds, you do get a lot of edible fruit! I will definitely grow it again next season! |
